4.45.08pm GMT Thu 26th Nov 2009

Whilst indicating broad support for the measures now being put in place to address hospital infections at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, Liberal Democrat Health spokesperson Ross Finnie MSP said:

“The public will not have confidence that new measures are being implemented properly unless changes are made to the senior management at both NHS Grampian and Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

“Over the last two years management at both have shown a complete failure to address the fundamental issues.

“Senior Management at NHS Grampian and Aberdeen Royal Infirmary must take responsibility for these serious failings.”
